Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
Protecting children’s privacy is important to us. It is Shelcore’s policy to abide by the guidelines of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). Shelcore does not collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age nor do we allow these children to register on our website. While we respect your child’s right to privacy and have designed our site to be safe for children, we urge parents to be involved in their children’s online activities and educate them about internet safety. Children should never provide their personal information on any website without the permission of a parent or guardian. Parents have the right to review any personal information collected about their child and request the child be removed from mailing lists and deletion of the child’s information. The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Shelcore website. When you register on our site you agree to receive informational and promotional materials from Shelcore such as news about our company and our products, media and press releases, updates to our website such as new games and areas of interest, opportunities for participating in focus groups and photo shoots and surveys.
The information collected by this site includes, but is not limited to, name, address, email address, phone number, gender, visitor type (consumer or business) and children’s genders and birthdates.
We reserve the right to add or delete any one of these fields on our registration form at any time. As a registrant, you have the right to "opt-out" of our mailing list at any time without reason by sending an email to customerservice@shelcore.com with the subject "Unsubscribe". You have the right to request deletion of the information you submitted via the registration form from our database. You can request deletion by sending an email to customerservice@shelcore.com with the subject "Delete Profile".
How We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself to send you promotional materials about our company either via e-mail or standard mail including but not limited to media information, website updates, e-newsletters and opportunities to participate in special events. We may also contact you with a survey from time to time. The information we collect is used and analyzed internally by Shelcore for research purposes in order for our company to serve you better in the future. We do not share your information with outside parties, except in the case of NASCAR® licensed products as described in the following section titled "Special Case". We use your return email address only to respond to the email we receive. These email addresses are not used for any other purposes, such as mailings, and are not shared with outside parties. If you would like to receive mailings from our company you must submit your e-mail address via our website. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information if it pertains to a legal request or is required by law. If Shelcore finds any registrant to behave in a way that is harmful to our site or our company we reserve the right to revoke the registration and take legal action if necessary.
Special Case
We are required to share all database information of persons collected in relation to our NASCAR® licensed products with the NASCAR® Members Club, which is operated by a separate third party, NMP, LLC. The information may be used in conjunction with the NASCAR® Members Club and NASCAR®'s own marketing initiatives. By selecting "NASCAR® licensed toys" as an interest when you register on the NASCAR® themed web page of our site ( http://www.shelcore.com/toys/nascar.aspx1), you are opting-in to receive future communications from both Shelcore, Inc. and NASCAR® and are accepting these terms and conditions.
